Since we have a Macaw, we need extra, extra, extra heavy duty stainless clasps and rings. We usually get our from the big box stores (homedepot, lowes, or McMaster). They are a bit more expensive but personally, I would go to the ends of the earth to ensure Arika is safe.
I urge all bird owners to upgrade their toy hardware to something much heavier than you think your little feathered friend can destroy. Dont underestimate the power of the beak :) Some owners have had disastrous results from cheap hardware.
