in the past few weeks we've had plenty of snow.

we've had about 8" today and are expecting another 6-8" tomorrow:rolleyes:

here's an accumulation of snow on our patio table....it's about a 20" of snow.

You guys get the really cold weather and lots of snow up there. I don't miss it when I'm sick but when I was younger I loved it. It looks awfully cold looking at that pile of snow.....

 Yup, I agree, that IS a whole lot of that fluffy white stuff.

Mother Nature dumped about 12" on us a few nights ago, and our Governor declared State of Emergency BEFORE it even started. Within hours all supermarkets were sold out of milk and bread. I guess folks live on French Toast during a snow storm around here. :54:

Do you drive in this stuff, Beth? Do you put snow chains on? :D

If I get snowed in tomorrow I'll live without visiting to the supermarket as my freezer is full....I have a problem buying in bulk amount at a time.....lol......

Do you drive in it Wendy?

that's why I have a Jeep Cherokee, I LOVE driving in it.....it's so much FUN!

it's not that cold here, it's really no different than NY, Chicago or Colorado.

It's just a lot of snow.

Treebee and I just got back from a road trip up to Chicago yesterday. Boy was that COLD!!!! But it was a perfect break in run in her new Cherokee that we got the day before.

On the lighter (or Darker) side it is supposed to get down to 15 degrees F here tomorrow night. Us Florida types just are not used to prepping for a hard freeze. I hope our pipes survive.

Wait Mikey there's snow in Tennessee? How much snow are we talking about and how cold? We are flying into to Nashville and driving to Louisville in a few weeks to see my husbands family...I was hoping to get away from the snow snow and more snow and the colddddddddddddd (we have what Crimson has except add the cold weather)......

It's a little warmer here today at -22C. I absolutely hate driving in the snow, it terrifies me! So glad that you enjoy it Beth, must make it easier:)
We haven't had any more snow for a few days, I know that isn't going to last!

I used to live up north in South Dakota and Iowa. Was talking about the snow there. I grew up here in TN and we had a few snow storms in the past. One good one was about 5 years ago and one prior was back in 97.

By the way our low temp tomorrow is -1 F

my grandfather was a drivers Ed teacher in the B.C mountains in Revelstoke.

he drove on the mountain dirt roads, one lane, teaching people how to drive a standard
my dad learned from him, and I learned from my dad.

I have an all aggressive tread on my tires, and it cuts through the snow really well.

Believe it or not, the northern states weather is far worse than the southern part of Ontario's weather most times.
....at least our dogs are loving the snow.....

oh my gosh :O I am sooooo envious!!!!

By the way our low temp tomorrow is -1 F

oh ok so that's -18 degrees Celsius I believe.....if that's your low I will take it! :D .....is there snow there?

Tonight maybe 1-3" so nothing really. Our worst snow times is usually around February thru March.

Kinny-

I'd take your sand anyday....

I HATE it!! We're getting about 12-18" dumped as I type this, I'm wondering do I have to go out there to clear this now and again in the morning, it's that much. I always wonder about the poor outdoor fids! :(

I refilled the bird feeder and put out suet cakes for all the outdoor fids. I don't know what part of Michigan you are in but I say we have at least a good 10" so far. What really sucks is that there are no such things as snow days where I work... Booo!!! Better late than never:52:

I put put the stuff left over from the indoor fids, sunflower seed hearts, and bird bread. Today I put out a 5 lb bag of blue berries (needed room in the freezer) and they went in about an hour. I'm in the Detroit-metro, northern 'burbs. Our poor little Michigan sparrows! How do they do it?...although I've heard they're imported from Europe, doesn't matter, they're still my favorite Michigan bird. They're so scrappy. :) have you noticed that for the past 10+ years, there have been large flocks of robins NOT migrating, but staying here and eeking it out for the winter? Especially on warmer days they swarm around houses and pick out worms along the borders right where the snow recedes from the sun on the brick. I guess they also eat berries. Amazing!

I too am shocked at how the little outside guys survive. Our wind chill was -48 a couple of weeks ago, but there they are, eating from the feeder and sitting in the tree.
