Welcome to Vermont!

It's winter now.

Oh, you want to take a walk in your backyard?

Good luck with that.

Snow is normally 2-3ft, but a blizzard came yesterday and the day before.

6. Freaking. Feet. Or. More.

It's fine, it's fine. Nothing abnormal, blizzards are extremely common here.

Anything above 25 degrees F is warm, as long as there's no windchill.

Took me half an hour to cut 10 branches. Because snow.

Oh well, birds are amazing, and upgrading their space is worth it.

Did I mention winter is roughly 8 months of the year here?

Then 1 month of slush.

1 month of can't-go-outside-your-house-because-hunters-might-think-you're-a-deer-and... not sure I can say the rest, but you get the idea.

Then two blissful months of "summer".

It rains heavily for at least a third of "summer".

Welcome to Vermont.

LOL, I know exactly what you mean! When I got married, people had to wear their coats for the outdoor ceremony - in July:(

I truly love the snow here, we hardly ever had a big snowstorm back in WV.
Vermont is beautiful, we went through there on a road trip several years ago. It was a little early to see the colours of the leaves at their brightest, but it was still breathtaking!

The leaves are nice, yes. But at what cost?

HAHA! I hear the cost is pretty deep.

Well I’ve never been to Vermont but here in Indiana it just swaps back and forth between winter and spring like every other day for months :( Makes planning anything and dressing weather appropriate difficult!

I don’t like snow unless it’s Christmas Day. Any other time it needs to go!

Hmmm, Welcome to the Great White North!

Oh, along the East Coast they have their own name for 'Blizzards!' In your area, they are called NorEasters!! And, some Weather Chanel wanted to give them Names. Kind of Like Hurricanes, it it did not go overly well with your locals.

Season names are easier: Winter, kind of Winter, Summer, kind of Winter!

Two-staged, Snow Blowers are near as common as 4 wheel drive SUV's and Pick-up Trucks.

Those of us who live in central, northern, western and after yesterday, eastern New York State can sympathize with Vermonters. There have been a few 6 foot snowfalls around the state this winter. We've been spared (so far) in the area where I live. Yesterday's 11 inch (28 cm) snowfall is our biggest this winter. That's very unusual. I'm not going to complain if that statistic doesn't change.
