Ollie is sick

I don’t think a blood count is feasible if they can’t pay for disease testing. Since Ollie seems much better I recommend monitoring him but not taking him for more tests unless he seems to get worse.
I agree that it's an academic exercise sometimes. If he's anemic what are they doing to do? Give him a transfusion? I tend to approach bird vet care like that. My now deceased father started to with his own health issues, too. He survived stage four cancer but was going in for scans 4 times a year with no plan to do anything if it started to grow more so he stopped the scans at 85. He died of a stroke at 89. Not cancer.

Yes he is back to his sassy self. We are visiting family and he decided to repeatedly dive bomb the home health aid until my mother had had enough and tried to get him to go in his cage. Which he always does and is happy to do, unless it's your idea and not his. So he flew around for ten minutes evading capture and creating beautiful poop art in places yet to be discovered. I wasn't home at the time but heard all about it. I was so happy to hear that he felt well enough to cause some mayhem. Yesterday he didn't even try to bite me.
