Our AC went out. What do i do for pilot?

So the AC went out at some point last night and I just hot home from school and my room was cool bc the door was closed all day, but it started getting hot fast, I turned on my ceiling fan bc I dont want Pilot to overheat in her cage but shes scared of the fan so what else can I do?

Do you have a standing fan or box fan to blow ( gently) towards the cage? With a bit of moving air she should be okay; budgies are originally from a warm climate. You could also give her a dish of cool water to bathe in if that’s something she likes. Open mouthed panting and holding her wings out are signs of heat stress. As long as she’s not doing that, Pilot is probably fine.

The box fan won't reach the outlet the cord is too long. She seems to be doing ok im just worried

Air circulation is better then nothing. Plenty of water is necessary. Some birds like cool water, others cold and a few ice. See what Pilot prefers. Key is observing for any signs of over heating.

Can't you move her cage closer to the box fan to give her some air movement? You could also put a piece of cardboard on top of her cage to block her view of the moving fan so she doesn't get scared by it.
At night when it cools down, open your windows to get some cool air into the room as long as you have screens or she's in her cage so she can't escape.
Try spritzing her with cool water if she doesn't bathe in an open dish. I find that moving water is much more attractive to budgies than still water. Put a shallow wide dish, even just a dinner plate, of cool water on top of her cage and take a piece of millet spray or a large leaf of lettuce and splash at the surface of the water with it. That usually entices some of my budgies to come splash around in the water. I find that they really like very shallow water- only about a half inch deep. They hestate to bathe in water any deeper.
