Wow, what an excellent save! I am so happy for you as so many times we never have closure and are forever haunted.

Thankfully there are lots of wonderful folks out there, eager to help. But I would have a word with the vet who supposedly clipped the wings. While a clipped bird may still fly, the ability should be markedly lessened to avoid sustained free flight.

Yay! I am so glad she is home safe!

Oh my gosh ,can you set some food out,? I hope she comes back

My parrotlet flew off my shouldet with clipped wings and went far off in the pine trees i tried for hours to get him down i had just about given up as it was dark i went to bed and got up early and kept calling his name nothing. I went to let my dog out and on my way back there was my peewee trying to climb on my deck i scooped him up and rushed him in the house. He spent a long night in the rain and cold i thought thr hawks would get him or exposure. I was heart broken until i daw his little face.dont give up miracles do happen i had one .i hope you find your baby its just awful

So so sooooo glad to hear your baby is home and while I agree with Scotts point about the vet who clipped the wings or rather didnt clip them I will also add that it was the bad job that vet did that saved your girls life for had she flown off with clipped wings she would have been prey to every preditor going and you might not have reached her in time to save her. You sre so lucky that her wings were strong enough to keep her in flight and out of harms way. Im so glad shes home

Just ran across this thread and am new here and mainly just read.
I'm so so happy for you and getting your bird back!!!
Brought tears to my eyes also, as I have an umbrella cockatoo and about 10 years ago he got out and ended up flying about 25 to 30 feet up in a pine tree. I spent all afternoon outside in the yard calling him and had his cage outside with the door open for him but no luck. It was starting to get dark out so I felt I had no choice left but to climb that tree. I begin climbing also figuring it would be the last time I'd see him, figuring when I got close he would take off again. So I mentally braced myself for a final good bye as I climbed higher. I finally made it to him and stuck my hand out and he climbed on my hand like it was nothing. Now I had a new thought come across my mind.... How the heck am I gonna get down??... Well believe it or not I was able to make it down with just one hand, there was no way I was going to let go of him so one hand it was. It was a happy tearful end!!
Again I am so happy that you had the same tearful happy end to your stressful ordeal!!!! Thank God!! :)

Awww, a happy ending, really glad your baby is back.
