Hello everyone!

I am inerested in what eveyone uses while outside with their fids? I am loooking for ideas on something that another animal wouldn't be able to put their paw through.

I have a feral cat that has already killed two doves by my pond. I shoo him away as much as I can but I am considering a live trap just need to speak to my vet on what to do with the cat once he is caught.

I was using a travel cage that seemed perfect for going outside to play. Phoenix LOVES to take baths while outside and I love for him to get some sun. Although, I piddle in my gardens and flowers while we are outside I'm petrified that while out there if I have my back turned or i'm picking veggies something is going to happen. I may just be paranoid but I'm looking for ideas or suggestions.

Thank you!

Thank you!

I can understand your concern and agree with you about trapping the feral cat. I'm going to assume you are in the county & not within a city limits, but do you have a county animal control office that you could call?

You might check about any cat rescue organizations in your area, but if all else fails, a friend who is a hunter could provide a solution also.....

One of my grandmothers was a Texas girl & if sh'd said she was piddling in the garden, it would have been a different connotation.....their outhouse was about 1/3 of a football field away.....hot Texas weather & all.....

Oh my weco! I didn't even think about that before I put that comment in there!

I don't live in the country but I have an electical easement for an alley which attracts all sorts of animals. We have about a dozen feral cats that live out there normally they don't go into the backyards. We are currently have an influx of feral cats in my city (not sure why) but the city is picking up feral cats and immediately euthanizing them, that's why I thought I would check with my vet first to see if he had another solution before I do catch the cat.

Thanks for your reply :)
