oxy has a pink feather

oxy is sitting on the back of my chair. i just turned to give him a pet and noticed he has a pink feather on his neck. he hasnt got anything in his cage with red or pink dye. he is only 5 months old but could that be a sign of his ring starting? hecalso has a light shadow. i havent had him dna'd i just call him he

A light shadow can still mean it's female, even a dark shadow. If the feathers are pitch black then it's a sign it's a male :p

5 months is very young, I didn't know that a ring could start at that age. Alex is just starting to get his pink feathers and he is over 2 years old. But then again I know some sub species get their ring faster/takes a longer time to show up. It's usually 18 months before they show up. Could you get a photo of the feather? :p

ill try ash but every time i try get tne camera close he tries to eat it. i thought the same about the ring and him being to young. im not phased either way if he is boy or girl.... wont love him any more or less
