I was looking for support in the sadness of losing him. I found this group and had completely forgotten I was a member. I have many years of happy memories of him. One day I hope I can share them here to you all. Thank you.

Thank you. Is that a Quaker in your photo? I was thinking about getting one.I am so sorry for your loss.
Yes. Willow is a blue Quaker. They are wonderful small to medium sized birds. Willow doesn’t talk but is a very cuddly loving bird.Thank you. Is that a Quaker in your photo? I was thinking about getting one.
@Snowghost59, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss of Paco, but so glad that you say you have so many happy memories of your time together, although that time, however long it may be, is never ever enough. May those memories continue to sustain you during this very difficult time - it sounds to me like you gave Paco a wonderful life and I know he will be waiting for you at the Bridge.I was looking for support in the sadness of losing him. Thank you so much, I miss him soo much. I feel lost and alone, he was quite a chatter box, whistles, hoots, I just feel empty.@Snowghost59, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss of Paco, but so glad that you say you have so many happy memories of your time together, although that time, however long it may be, is never ever enough. I have read many different description of these fun little guys. Maybe one day.Yes. Willow is a blue Quaker. They are wonderful small to medium sized birds. Willow doesn’t talk but is a very cuddly loving bird.
Pardon?I am not reading your previous post because I will cry. Darn you.
Thank you, the poem I posted eased my pain and stopped my tears, I am sorry if it upset other people.I'm so sorry to hear
Thank you for your kind words. I can't stand the silence most of all, my life has changed, no buddy to fix his breakfast and supper and hand feed him, his talking and chattering, his hello, good morning chirp and his special whistle goodbye. I am now just empty and sad.@Snowghost59 I am so sorry you lost your Paco. I too lost a dearly loved parrot awhile ago, I know it hurts, but in time it will heal and you will have the good memories to cherish.
I keep a record of all the parrots that pass away here on ParrotForums and I make a donation to Cornell Univ's vet program in their names, specifically directed to be applied to parrot related studies and programs. Paco is on the list.
I loved your poem BTW, made me tear up badly last night.
