Parrot ate the cable

I Own a Female White Umbrella Cockatoo,last night she ate one of the cables nearby her cage,the cable was far but somehow she makes it,she has long legs,so she ate the cable,caused to an electrical blackout in the whole apartment and also a sound of a bang and a strong blue flash,she doesnt seem to got hurt,but some her feathers on the right side are covered light colored black or gray.
She managed to clean some of the black/gray off her feathers,but she seems to have a semi-closed eye,My parrot sometimes cleans her head using one of the wing,so maybe the eye made contact with that black/gray thing,Is this dangerous and might cause blindness?

Help will appreciated.

Ok,But how much time she can stay with this?cause today and tomorrow were going to a vacation
And were realy low on time now,So i feel so bad...

But i checked her eyes theyre ok,nothing flew to her eye during the electrical blackout bang,The reason is that she rubs her head(cleaning purposes)on the wing,the contact with the eye and the wing,but in this case the wing she rubbed her head on was the wing with the black/gray thingy,so maybe some of this got into her eye,she seem to be opening the eye widely just like the other one that is okay,but not commonly...

Please respond ASAP

Riley's mom is correct... she needs a vet ASAP... there could be complications you can't see from this.

I'd get her to a vet and be late for that vacation. Electrical shock is nothing to take lightly. Her heart could stop.

she sounds lucky for what happened....that is so scary. In the future, keep her cage away from any and ALL wiring.

I would most certainly take the bird to the vet immediately.
They are timid creatures, something could be amiss that you are not seeing or aware of.

If this happened to one of your children, surely you would have rushed the child to a doctor !!!!!! Surely the bird is part of the family?

What kind of cable was this that made the entire apartment go out??? It sounds like it was a major line....so I'm wondering why you would place a birdcage so close to something like that in the first place. ...This obviously insn't a lamp wire or something....this sounds pretty serious to me.

Ok,Im back from the vacation,Read your comments,and yes the bird was realy important to me and still is ,Her situation ruined my mood during the vacation,But now i am back and she seems realy happy,Her eye is opened almost like the other one,Too bad we were on such an hurry to the vacation,i didn't even want to join it but i had to,So,Guys thanks for the help,I realy appreciate it,And she will be taken to the vet as soon as possible

This cable was leading to some cable divider,The cable divider has 5 holes for plug-in's.
We use it because you have a aquarium full of beautiful fish.

And im only 14,I Couldnt do anything about rejecting this vacation to some other date,or to be late to it...

I was actually looking for suggestions regarding parrot-proofing cables/cords when I came across this forum. We have a Goffin Cockatoo and an Africar Grey that love to chew on wires, cables, electrical cords, you name it! I know they make several products for enclosing/encasing cables but I'm not sure they make any that would be chewproof. Has anyone found a solution to this yet? Our birds have their own room and we leave them out in there for most of the day but that room is always the coldest and I would like to keep a portable heater in there for them so it's not too cold. Until I find a solution to this I unplug and put everything away in there when they get up in the morning and then plug the heater and fan in once they're in their cages at bedtime. Any suggestions on how to either hide the cable or cover it in something chewproof? I'm open to any suggestions no matter how wierd
