Hi everyone, I bought my ekkie Nico a few hoodies to keep him warm in the winter. He absolutely hates his parrot clothing. Has anyone had an experience with putting clothing on a parrot? Does it take awhile for them to adjust?

I have to add that Nico is so cute in his dinosaur hoodie!!

Pretty sure its like training a bird to like a harness some birds are too sensitive and may never accept it

While I can get a harness on Salty, I am pretty sure I would be missing fingers if I tried to put clothes on him. If not fingers, many melon baller size chunks of meat.

How does anyone train their babies to harness train or allow it just out of curiosity
these might help!

these might help!
Thank you

Here is how we trained Salty to accept the harness. We still practice this almost every night. He is not crazy about putting it on, but he tolerates it.

Nico is cute beyond belief with clothing! I admire

That's amazing, Nico so accommodating!! None of my tamest Goffins would ever permit me to clothe them!!

I may have put Nico's sweater on for too long. I've been leaving it on him for about 20 minutes a day. I was giving him treats throughout that time frame. He never tried to bite, or sceam. He just rolled around on the couch (it looked like he was trying to do summer salts). I may have to try to put the clothing over Nico's head, and then give him a treat, and then take it off like wrench13 showed in his video. Thank you everyone for the help!
