Today while I was working with Pegasus, I thought I would try something with him. He was stepping up really well. He just seam he was in a good mood.
I would ask him to wait not just get off my finger. I just I would try and touch his foot. I realize parrots are very touchy about their feet, but that's why I tried for the touch. Just getting to close to his head he doesn't like it. But by touching his foot he's not paying attention to it like his head. Also if he tries to bite me I can move my finger. At first I just touch the tip of a toe. No reaction. I use no pressure on the touch. After about 3 times I was able to put my thumb on his foot. Again no pressure. I wold like him move his foot to go back to the perch. I did it about 4 times and then stopped. Didn't want to push my luck. But that made my day.
