Merlin has been in my thoughts sooooo much, I really pray he is going to be ok, but, I have a bad feeling.

Barraband doesn't strike me as a King Parrot. More like some sort of lori.

Could a Lori breed with s barraband ?
I Cant think what type of bird is marroon or red in colour
He still has the small beak so can't be something to big
I did think of a maroon bellied conure ???

I will try get some better pics
it's really cool his back feathers are marroon with green edging around each one really stricking
