Had to share this, BJ club has these on sale, 29 bucks! For a play stand, awesome!

Shhhhh! Don't tell them it's a parrot play stand, they'll raise the price to outrageous.

We have lots of clothing racks that would make great stands, but I worry about the types of metals they are made of :\

It's fine with them just touching it, or even licking it lol. Unless they get fixated on trying their hardest to eat the metal and chip the chrome off (?) which would take a considerable amount of force repeatedly in the same area, not to mention odd behavior, especially when toys and stuff are on it :).

That last part being said... believe it or not, my Griffin did that to his new powder coated cage in quite an extensive area. I couldn't believe it. I had to get him an aluminum cage that he could not eat. He is a weird bird though.

For now I configured it with a tray on the bottom, one in the middle, flipped up side down, and the two rods at the top. I have to give it a good cleaning first to remove any possible manufacturing debris/contaminates.

Actually, if you covered it in gorilla tape so that they weren't exposed to heavy metal toxicity, it just might work... just periodically check it and re-tape it.

Hang a boing or a cargo net off of it, and you just might have something there...

I'd worry about a big (macaw sized) bird maybe being able to tip that over if he's flapping and running around on it (they are talented at stuff like that), but otherwise it might work.
