Let this be a fun thread, please. :) I mean, we, as parrot owners, whether it's just one wee, tiny bird, several birds, or multiple HUGE birds, know what's involved in keeping our babies happy and healthy.

And we ALL know that not EVERYONE is made of what it takes to be a SUCCESSFUL bird guardian. ;)

I'll start...please (pretty please with sugar on top) chime in... and remember, it's to be in good fun AND honesty. :52:

Prerequisites of BEING OWNED by a parrot:

Sense of humor

Being able to tolerate a mess

Realizing there is more than one way to skin a chicken

Nothing is EVER set in stones when being owned by one of those feathered things. :o

Rules are meant to be broken

....

please continue... :D

Box of BandAids

2 1/2 trucks loads of patience, some times maybe 3

More patience and band aids... anxiety medication or the ability to cope well with extreme amounts of anxiety...

A loving heart, the ability to forgive...the ability to be wrong... because a macaw/amazon/conure NEVER ARE WRONG.. just ask em.. :)

Also... the bird IS YOUR LIFE...:)
