Hi Everyone,

I've heard that parronts often offer their fids an old phone book as a shreddable toy. Sounds fun.

Wondering if the ink on the phone book pages would be toxic. The ink rubs off on my fingers so I know Baxter would be ingesting a bit when he is shredding.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I was told the dye used is a vegetable based dye. We always gave them to our rabbits to shred.

Newspapers and phone books should all be using soy based ink and non toxic glues. They made that switch for environmental/recycling purposes.

I rip out any glossy pages that might be there, cause I'm not so sure about them.

Thanks for the reminder! Poppy hasn't had a phone book in a while.

Thanks everyone! I figured it was safe if responsible parronts were allowing their fids to shred away... just wanted to double check :)
