Hello, today I saw this on my parrot. We are away on countryside and he is generally stressed but generally he doesn’t look in pain. After some hours it seems smaller. Any ideas?

Ps. There is no avian vet around here.

It looks like he’s pulling out his feathers in that spot.
What do you mean by generally stressed? As in there’s constantly something scaring/stressing him out?

Hi there. It looks like he has something there bothering him and keeps pecking and nibbling at it. For awhile too, as bare skin does not have that black, scabbed appearance. Honestly, I would have him checked by a Certified Avian vet, as this might develop into an infection or promote plucking.

Sorry for the late reply. After 2 hours there was nothing there. Maybe it was dirt or something
