Safe toys for small birds

What are your recomendations for toys to birds, especcially small birds. Ive known that plastic toys are bad but could it be any other kind of toys that are bad? What are the safest toys to buy? 🤨 Right now i dont have any plastic toys.

My birds are a little bigger than yours, but they loooove sola sticks and chewing balsa!

I get paper straws and cut them in 3 inch pieces Also you can get the really skinny neon straws and do the same. 🤪

There are many places to buy from who have safe toys, My Safe Bird Store is an awesome one. I wouldn't limit myself to just Bird Tricks, many others have wonderful toys as well

I've seen budgies and other small birds having a blast playing Q-tip swabs.

We wrap 2-3 pine nuts in a paper towel length wise and weave it thru the cage bars for Salty, he loves those. Also, wooden coffee stirrers are a good source of cheap, small, easily crafted wood to work with. We weave those too. He can spend an hour destroying those!

He is like a piscatine buzz saw with store bought toys. A $10 toy might last him 15 minutes if its one he likes.
