Hi everyone,
A little under a year ago, I reached out on this forum about finding a safe stainless cage for my conure. I was very grateful for the guidance and kindness shown. I was in a hurry at the time to find something because he was picking off coating and we had him in a small travel cage temporarily. I ended up purchasing a cage that did last us until now before he decided to start destroying it again...
I purchased the Caitec (Featherland) Mission-style stainless steel cage because it's the only one on the market with appropriate bar spacing for my green cheek conure. Unfortunately, the cage came with an unknown powdery green residue seeping out of crevices, as well as pitting and sharp spots. I attached photos for reference on the substance.
All in all, I wanted to see if you guys believe that the cage is able to be cleaned and smoothed down enough to be safe for my boy.
Thanks, as always, bird friends!
