Senegal screech

Hi all,

My Senegal parrot was chewing his weave ball toy in his travel cage. and I didnt see exactly what happend as I was busy typing on my laptop, but all of a sudden he dropped to the floor (the travel cage is low maybe around 15 inches from the perch) and he let out this screech that sounded as if he was in pain. Im not sure if thats a cause for a avian vet consult?

My Senegal can really make some screechy noise when she's in the mood. How is your Senegal acting. Is he eating, playing etc?

It happens. He could have got scared, usually when mine freaks out a min and ends up on the floor of his cage, he got scared cause he saw something. As long as he isnt injured, seems to be ok now then he is prob ok.

Is it the first time he has done that? How long have you had him?

about a day later he seems to be acting normal, making his usual chirps and noises, eating, playing etc. I guess it just scared me

I think hes done it once before but the screech wasnt the same. Ive had him for about 1 year and a half now. So far about a day later hes acting like himself
