Quasar looks so alert and cute. Are Yvonn and others jealous?

Not that I've noticed! They're curious about who the newcomer is, but they haven't been jealous, as I've seen.

Gotta be a new record, not even 0630 and he’s had a bath already!! Gonna be a hot one today though, gonna be 93F and we’re only a month into Spring 🥵

Well this turned into a much funnier pic than I originally intended! Not of a bird, but a big burly delivery guy came to my front door yesterday morning with a package and saw my "resident" spider. She's a golden orb weaver who insists on spinning her web between the shrubs that grow either side of my front door, much to the disgust of anyone who tries to come to the door. If you stretched her out she'd probably be about 5 inches or so from the tip of a back leg to the tip of a front leg - not huge by Aussie standards but big enough to give one pause to consider whether it's worth knocking on my front door. I put a "spoiler" over the pic for anyone who may be a bit squeamish about spiders, like my hubby for instance who HATES them, so you'll need to click on the pic if you want to see it properly...

I inadvertently disturbed her while trying to take this pic and she scuttled up her web to get away from me, so now she looks like she's a gigantic spider trying to eat my house!! Hubby and I and anyone of our regular friends or family who come here know to use the back door anyway cos our front door leads straight into the bird room so we rarely use it ourselves. I like my spider, she's a very good deterrent for burglars!!

I like spiders. Anything that eats bugs is a friend of mine. I wouldn't mind having her on my patio.

I like spiders. I had one living in my living room and when we saw him on the floor we didn't bother him. We would say. RUN FORREST RUN!
I just don't like them dangling over my head in bed.

We had an outhouse back in the last century, and the wood spiders lived in the roof. They never came down, but they sure were furry.

Spiders bigger than a thumbnail squick me out. I'm terrified of anything bigger.

We have big birds under our bird feeders. I guess they're fattening up for Thanksgiving.

My love of birds makes me much less eager to eat turkey and chicken unless it's off the bone before it lands on my plate. I know it's still turkey or chicken but it doesn't look like a dead bird that way. I can't stomach deboning those rotisserie chickens from the supermarket or cooking a whole turkey or chicken.

Tonight Elan decided to sleep in a food dish. She likes to lie down and nap on top of the cage during the

day after doing some zooming around the room, so I think she noticed that this dish was a perfect place to relax for the night. I don't think it's a nesting behavior because she hasn't been posturing to any of the males but I'll watch her.

I like the cage. What brand is it?
This is Montana by Parrots' paradise Wagner.
