What's up with Charlie's feathers? Has he been banging around his cage too much or has he decided at his advanced age that self grooming is overrated and just too much trouble?
Charlie's decided that in his old age that grooming is overrated at 25 yrs old, despite the regular baths and regular attempts at preening.

Aaaand Here's Voritex and I in a bad selfie, LOL!!

Is that a look of wanting?
I had already poured some of the seed mix into his and Kona's food dishes, and I was about to add crumbled Nutriberry (they had also eaten vegetables). He was monitoring me!

Joey loves giving kisses! I have some very cool, tame, friendly budgies but she's the only one I trust this close to my mouth. She grooms my face and eyelashes so gently. Joey can give "birditude" (you know, "Nyet, nyet, nyet!") But she never bites or nips at all. Its funny how each of my budgies is so different despite being raised the same. I've hand raised three- Rocky, Tiki, and Joey- and their personalities, likes and dislikes are so different. Joey has two deformed feet and I thought she would have trouble perching and balancing but she has no trouble at all. She flies over and lands on the edge of my phone perfectly. I still have her perches vet wrapped to reduce the risk of pressure sores and always will.
