Parrots
budgie
So my budgie pilot, she does this thing where she will start like screaming out of nowhere and shes not like getting hurt or anything shes just sitting on her bridge and screaming and it'll go on for like a minute or two, and I don't really understand it especially since she started doing it more frequently, and I dont understand what it means, is it just a budgie thing?

It is probably a budgie thing. I have female budgie who does the same thing for no apparent reason other than to make a lot of noise. As long as she's otherwise acting normally I wouldn't worry.

With q fair number of Parrots this is much the same. It can be anything from waking up the Sun, the neighbors, your household, or just enjoy hearing herself scream. Oh, it could be a 'ghost', past through and she is calling it out!

Healthy Parrots scream, enjoy the moment and consider joining in!

Some of my Budgies do this occasionally. I think Pilot is probably fine.

Thanks, i wasnt sure if I should be worried or not lol.
Also an update on pilot, although I do still have to pick her up with a shirt, she will perch on my hand, arm, shoulder, and chest (for some odd reason), and likes to preen me, she even preened my face the other day which surprised me, it just passed her 5 months of me having her and I'm so happy with how our bonding is going and I'm not allowed to get a second bird because my grandma said no, but pilot seems happy none the less

It sounds like Pilot is happy with you. A female budgie alone is better than a male budgie alone in my experience.
