Sisal fiber

I got this toy for a pet supplies, it looks like a big loofah tube, but it's made out if sisal fiber...got it for Kumar to tear up and play in. I always assumed sisal was safe. The insert says if ingested can be dangerous. He doesn't really eat the stuff he shreds, but if he ingests a bit is it really dangerous? It's actually a nesting tube for finches/canaries, but it looks like a good toy for him.

I think just about everything we use for bird toys can be dangerous if they ingest too much... Ivory is a gimp (plastic lacing) fanatic and I know that would be dangerous if she ate it, so we just keep an eye on it. She just loves to snip it, she uses her beak like scissors.

Just keep an eye on it like everything else we give the little brats!
