Glad the visit went well and Skitty is a healthy bird!

Here in NJ it's like $150 just to see him and $100 for tests. I take Ollie basically anytime he has a feather out of place lol. 4 times this year already and I've had him 8 months. Just want to be safe as possible... he's my love! Glad to hear Skitty got his check up and beak trim. I file Ollie's beak myself and that's a great savings if you can manage it as well as file his nails. He's such a good boy...I don't even have to restrain him anymore for the nail filing, he just begrudgingly let's me take a talon one by one and file then with a few complaints here and there.

I suppose Skittles would let me file his beak and nails if I wanted too. I mean I can grab his beak without much fuss and I can also hold his feetsies too. I just don't want to I guess, that way he can hold a grudge against the vet and see me as the one who saved him from the naughty doctor man and brought him back home safely. lol.

Truthfully, I don't find the vet prices to be unreasonable, especially when compared to other vets and animals. The exam price for Skittles is actually the price for "Avian-exotic", I'd assume they have different prices for cats and dogs. The nail trim and beak trim are discounted IF you have them done as part of the exam. They always do a great job with that so I have them do it.
