Just when I think this goof can't get any goofier he outdoes himself.

I was pouring myself a bowl of Special K cereal this evening and after I poured the cereal I went to put some Splenda on it, but my shaker was empty so I went to the pantry to get some more. Skittles was sitting atop the fridge and was "supposed to be drinking juice" but while I was getting the Splenda, I heard a 'splat' and a 'crunch'. Skittles flew INTO the bowl of Special K and was throwing it all over the place. I hadn't added any milk yet, thankfully.

It just caught me off guard and was pretty hysterical (except for the giant mess he made). Its weird because I've had cereal before around him and hes never done that before. Of course I normally don't leave food unattended with him out. Thats when Skittles goes into 'bat mode'.

I would expect him to do that with Fruit Loops, but not Special K. I guess he thought it needed a little 'color'.

That's nice, he has the ability to surprise you after all these years!

I was telling a friend about it on the phone tonight and she said "Skittles has become a cereal killer!" lol

It was a nice change though cause he's been being a royal brat the past few days. I had to put him in a timeout on both days. But he was better today than he was yesterday. He has his 'moods' and every so often has a couple 'moody, bad' days. Unfortunately, that still means timeouts though.

I know what you mean about not leaving food unattended. If BUDDY is on one side of the kitchen and I'm on the other, if he even hears me unwrapping food, he will fly over to investigate.
Even if it's something he doesn't like, he needs to take a nibble to make sure he's not missing out on anything.

Just be glad you had not added the milk. My Senegal Sidney kersplatted into a full bowl of milky cereal and blasted it all over me and everything else within 5 feet. He thrashed around for a moment in surprise then just stood in the bowl covered in milk looking at me with his head cocked sideways. Was a huge mess to clean up but I got the last laugh cause he got a trip into the shower and got thoroughly rinsed off despite his protesting. He was a very wet and unhappy bird.

Cereal killer....lol

Yet another example of why having a parrot is like having a permanent toddler in the family! Always keeping you guessing for sure!

Lol, Sunnies are goofs. I think if I had to use one word to describe them it would be goofy.

Must be something in the air. Salty got a time out last night, as he really nailed my ear, just CHOMPed it. Oh No there son, time out for you !
Love the story about the 'Cereal Killer'.

I went to Walmart today to pick up an air fryer and my friend and I stopped in the "clearance" aisle, like we normally do to look at stuff.

They had a wi-fi mountable camera on clearance for $29 and my immediate thought was..."Skitty-spy"! hehehehe.

When I was a young teen and Wally the Budgie was around,me with cereal in the morning usually meant bath time in the milk for Wally. I never learned..he'd sit on the bowl edge to sample whatever it was that I wa having and before I knew it he'd jump in and flap flap splash splash

Lol!! That's too funny!! Clearly Skittles just wanted to join you for breakfast... and got a bit too much into it. :)

I wonder what insanity Skittles will get into while Daddy's not around... probably he'll be in your closet turning all of your clothes inside out, or hiding one of each of your socks. :)

Though the need for me to be keeping an eye on Tootsie has passed, the camera I got for that purpose is still on her and I have it streaming every day at work now. Watching her is actually kind of relaxing during a stressful day. I think you will love it. Is a peek into their lives that we don't normally see. I learned that Tootsie is generally a quiet bird when I'm not there. But surprisingly, Rosco is a non-stop Tasmanian Devil inside his home. The opposite of what I was expecting for both of them
