Hello all!

Long time no beak, I mean speak. I just thought I'd pop in and give you all an update on Skittles. He is doing very well. My little neotropical pigeon is still bent on world domination, but for now has settled for my apartment.

I probably shouldn't say little, since he just turned 15y/o in March. We celebrated our 14th adoption day in April.

I took some photos today to share with you all how he's doing. I'm also going to include a photo of him in his new travel carrier. He has a huge day cage and a good sized sleep cage but his travel cage was quite small so I'm saving that one just for the vet.

Hope you are all doing well and so are your fids!

Hi @Skittys_Daddy, thanks for the update and I wish Skittles a very happy belated Hatch Day and Gotcha Day!! 🥳🎂🎉 It's so good to see you both, please don't leave it so long between visits though cos we miss you when you're not here!

Hey! Welcome back, fellow Mainer! Glad to see things going well with you and Skittles. I hope we'll see you a little more often, we do enjoy a new Skitty story now and again! :)

Hey folks,

Thanks for the replies. I should check in more often, I'll try and do that more frequently.

I've had some challenges in the past few years, none with Skittles (knock on wood) thankfully.

He's still free-flighted and I've made him a couple of homemade playstands (cause the ones online are so expensive, though I did buy him one a number of years ago). Its rather economical cause the store I get his Harrisons from always gives little 'treat bags' (one with candy for humans and with toy parts for birds) so I use those to make homemade toys and playstands. Its cheaper AND much safer cause I know what they are made of and what they've been exposed to.

Anyways, I'll keep in touch more often.
