So I've bought albie so mixed nuts in the shell

How best am I to give them him?

Will he be able to crack through the shells himself or should I give him a helping hand by cracking them slightly?

I haven't got a clue. No peanuts though? If it were me I would offer him one and see what he does with it. Perhaps he won't even recognise it as food so you'll end up cracking it for him. I wonder how long it will take him work it out?

Brazil nuts - forget about those. Only the big macs can crack them ( maybe).
