Louis is the greatest parrot in the whole world but yesterday he changed. He really liked my dad, played with him almost every day but all of the sudden he started biting him. I wonder whats wrong? Nothing have changed in my dads appearance or anything. Louis will jump on his shoulder but when he sees his finger he is pissed and bites really hard. What can be wrong?

He could have bit him before and your dad made a reaction. Conures live to be a clown and if he bit him once and got a reaction that he thought was funny. He will bite to get that reaction again. Also conures can be temperamental sometimes my conure will nip when i go to pet him. Sometimes he just wants to be shoulder riding or sitting in my lap and is not in the mood for me to scratch his head. Normally this happens when he has pin feathers. If he has pin feathers and you rub sometimes after a second they will go to nip as those feathers can be uncomfortable to them.

Louis mostly let only me to pet him but sometimes he doesn't mind someone else to do this. He trusted my best friend in the second he met her, who also has parrots and he didn't want to get off her shoulder. She could basically do anything with him, just like me.
Right now dad gave him some food and now he doesn't bite him again again so I don't know what is his deal :P He is moody as hell xD

My bird is a problem bird and gets like that. She has started biting my room mates, and that discouraged them. They are not as bird-crazy as me, so now they are just scared and don't really like to play with her any more, when in reality they should be taking her out of her cage more, not less. Regardless, I think the best thing you can do is just tell your dad he might get bit a few more times, but that he has to just tough it out, show the birdi who is boss (in a nice way) and perform whatever "anti-biting" training you use to make it stop.

Thank you :) After a few days Louis got back to the "normal" state, however he still sometimes bites my dad. I told him that he just has to give Louis some treats and be calm because he really gets frustrated and he wants Louis to like him :) It is better now, luckily:)
