I am very interested in the greater sulphur crested cockatoo. How would you rate them as pets? Would you recommend female or male? Are they nippy?

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

They are great pets if you know cockatoos. Cockatoos can be quite the trouble child's if not worked with properly so I suggest greatly doing your research and so on. But I can advocate for them as I have a medium sulphur and she is just great! There are plenty of posts on the forums expressing cockatoos, some about there issues some about there great personalities and so on so search around first:)

Our Lesser Sulphur [Belly ] is a rehome. Shes 30 plus years wild caught . Very sweet bird [Loves Dave , Likes me . ] Needs a routine and shes great :) [had come with problems] What I do know with 2s is that these kind have more of the personality of the bigger 2s.:)
