Switching From Zupreem Natural to Harrison's--which kind?

I am going to start switching my Quaker over to Harrison's from Zupreem Natural. Should I get High Potency (for the switch period) or just go directly to Adult Lifetime? My boy is just about to turn 1 year old (I don't know what his actual hatch day is so we are celebrating on April Fool's Day!). I know Harrison's says to use the High Potency for 6 months before the adult lifetime, but I am uncertain what the difference is. Just need to know what to order! Sammy has stress bars from his poor diet and living environment at his previous home and I want him healthy!

I've been told by avian vets that you don't 'have to' do the High Potency first. Especially when he's not still growing or molting.

I use both maintenance and hp formulas mixed together when they're molting and can use the additional energy of the hp. The main difference is the hp is richer, it has a significantly higher protein content than the maintenance formula (20% instead of 14%) and fat content (12% instead of 6%).

If you can get him to switch go for it. But a lot of times if the food isn't bad, what's not broken why fix it? I personally don't believe in Harrison foods.....I drive by their headquarters daily for work.....

I tried to switch my flock to Harrison's and I did get the HP. I'm not sure if it was necessary but it didn't matter...they ended up not eating it anyway. I would suggest getting a small bag to try so you make sure your quaker will eat it before you spend a fortune on a large amount.

Tachyons 17 months old and we've just switched from Roudybush (which ive never physically seen him eat) to Harrisons Adult Lifetime (which in the last week ive seen him eating the pellets from his bowl at least 4 times!!). I too wondered if I should do the HP for 6 months but I figured hes not a chick that is growing, hes not moulting at the moment, and hes certainly not breeding (other then being in love with my husband hahaha), so I went with the normal formula.
