I think that family is crazy. It's a very stereo typed and old fashioned family, i don't think their Amish though. I know they are a very religious bunch however.
First of all their kids names start with the letter 'J'.
Girls can ONLY wear dresses. While the boys can ONLY wear pants and a shirt.
They are ALL home schooled, and basically have no social life.
They believe in the 'Buddy System', meaning when mom has a baby, and it is weaned she passes it on to the oldest kids to take of, and then goes on making another.
The girls can only do 'girl' things such as, cooking, cleaning, sewing, etc.
The boys can only do 'boy' things like, working, building, repairing, etc.
They have to make their own cloths, well actually more like the females have to make everyone's clothes.
Plus this woman wants to add more girls to the family to even it out. What happens if she goes and has another baby and she ends up with a boy, then she'll keep reproducing until she gets and even number. Which i find a lame excuse and reason to have children.
I thinks this family is irresponsible, and selfish. They are not letting these kids have a normal life, or even have friends. They are friends with there siblings. That is very rare. They are not aloud to dress how they want, i understand some people get carried away and can dress 'inappropriate' but they HAVE to wear dresses or 'slacks' and shirts, i have only worn a dress like 3 times in my life(excluding when i was baby because that doesn't count). I never see guys or girls my age going around in dress pants and a dress shirts and dresses, i mean most people in my school just wear jeans and a hoodie everyday. No one dresses up for school, unless they're from a private or religious school. No one gives a hoot what they wear even on picture day serously its highschool its not that important.
They should all have freedom. Plus on top of that they have to care for there baby siblings, i mean sure you have to help out, but taking on the entire mother roll when its weaned is just crazy.
