Oh wow!! Amazing shots, I remembered how endangered they were when i was growing up. I know they are returning!

I got my boy singing "Oh say can you see! " his enunciation and pitch is improving. I was amazed to watch the Eagle flown at the Philadelphia playoff. I play that for him repeatedly. a favorite DC expression of mine is.

Win like an Eagle, lose occasionally like a Patriot!

I wish you were here to take some photos! Those were taken with a handheld pocket size Lumix camera. Your pics would be stunning. They live less than a mile away, and you can see the nest standing on the road. Doesn't get any easier to see eagles!

Beautiful.

We used to see Goldens and Balds all the time in New Mexico.............. on the roadsides scavenging, swooping down on rabbits, stalking pets...............

Amazingly, Balds are doing so well these days that they've been spotted nesting in a suburb of Cleveland!

I admit that I start to take them for granted. I don't go down every day to wonder at them. Sharing the pictures reminds me how special they are. It's so easy to forget what a miracle every second of life is.
