'too or no 'too?

i want to get a cockatoo. i ve read so much online i dont know whats true and whats not. my biggest concern is if i will have enough time. can i have a job and have a 'too? i read they need up to four hours a day of one on one

A well adjusted handfed baby will do fine while you're at work. Leave the tv or radio on and make sure it has plenty of toys. Be cautious not to "spoil" the cockatoo and let it run the house. Rescue 'toos make good petsm but if you're gonna get a rescue 'too a Mollucan or Umbrella are BAD ideas as a first 'too.

Research any of the sulfur crested 'toos. I say this all the time but the three best pet cockatoos (in terms on sanity) are the Rose breasted, the slender billed, and the bare eyed.

I think you can have a cockatoo. When i got mine i was working 7 days a week leaving at 7am and getting home aroud 6pm. When i got my girl she already had a home that had spoiled her to a bad point. When she came home i wanted to hold and love on her from the time i walked in till bedtime, but i didn't i keep that down so she didn't expect it. That way if things changed 2 years down the road it wouldn't hurt her because she was already used to not being on my lap all the time. Within a week her screaming had stopped and she learned what toys were for and new feathers were growing. Now almost two years later she is still a happy well adjusted bird that is happy to be on her playstand next to me will i am doing something. She is picking up words each week. Just try not to spoil your new baby when you get it home. Try to keep the one on one time to something that you can live with 5 years down the road so neither you or the bird is unhappy if something changes in your life and takes away more of your time. Keep toys in front of them at all times and a great diet and you should have a happy baby that is well adjusted.
