Hi,

I got a parrot and don't know its breed. Can somebody tell me the breed of this parrot?

Thanks.

My first thought was Nanday conure, but some of the markings aren't quite right - but I think nanday can be definitely ruled out due to the beak color: nandays have black beaks.

It also has some similarity to a black-capped caique, but that can similarly be ruled out.

Could it be a hybrid?

What the hell is that thing???

Ok, IF it's a conure there is only ONE conure with a horn colored beak like that and that's a QOB conure ... if I ever caught someone crossing a QOB conure trying to get a hybrid bird I'd flip my $h!t on them ... that's not cool ... you need a CITES permit to own one they are so endangered ...

(see, horn colored beak)

For more help with this one how big is he/she ... is it tiny, big? Need more info here ...

It is approximately 1 feet (30cm) long (including tail). I was told that it is a 'child'... Any ideas?

I don't know what it is ... but I have just requested to be able to cross-post to another forum that I gather information at ... as soon as I get the OK to do so I will post the images on another forum and see if we can get an answer ...

I am going to say that this is some sort of hybrid conure ... and, as sad as it makes me, I think someone crossed a QOB conure with like a blue crown conure ...

Do you have, can you take, any more pictures of him/her ... specifically an image with its tail in it ...
