Update on Lilly

Just wanted to take a moment and update everyone who helped out in the first weeks with Lilly.
She is doing GREAT!! I have no complaints with her what-so-ever. She has bonded with both me and my husband and takes turns with us both. She is just amazing. I can touch her anywhere on her body, play with her beak, feet, hands even pick her up by her body when she refuses to step up.

I am completely in love with her and starting to see that love returned. Her only bad habit is pinching my skin when I'm ignoring her.

Congrats, but I'd go easy on the body handling, below the shoulders, at least during breeding season.....wouldn't want to give her the wrong impression.....

Some of mine give the little[pinch].My Macaw gets in my face and whispers HI [when im on the computer. LOL] Glad she loves both of you [she will have a happy life ]

Pinkbirdy she is pinching very hard and has drawn blood once. she was nibbling my finger and as soon as I tried to move she pinched and her bottom beak broke the skin.

Sounds like she might be thinking about calling the shots.My Jennifer did this at first [I would look at her sternly and say NO. After our relationship progressed she stopped.

sounds like you are doing good, thanks for the update. As for the pinching tell her gentle or a key word to mean she was to rough all in all treat it like a bite if you have to.
