Update on Vinny

Here's Vinny...Doing Very good. She was the rescue back in December where poor thing was in a cage 18 Inches wide, 18 inches deep and 24 inches tall just full of poop. Cage was barely big enough for a paralet, or that...And the previous owners kept her in a room not heated and barely above 48 degrees in winter in that room....Horrible treatment , just horrible. Chain smokers with brown goo trickling down walls cigarette tar, Bird was in the most awful conditions...Sadest looking parrot I ever seen, she's very happy now.

She has a very large cage now and tons of toys...Just so happy now and a lovely bird. Like a kid that went to Disney land.
I was going to rehome her, but just didn't feel comfortable with the person that wanted her, so decided nope, she's got a forever home here.

What a wonderful update! Vinny is beautiful and she looks sooo happy in the photo. I bet she does think she found her way to Disneyland!

Yes she is singing, couldn't figure out how to up load the video to the site.

Hawk, I am so glad that Vinny is with you now. At least now we know that she will be well loved and cared for for as long as she is with you!

She really taken to us in such a very short time, I really thought she would be a very difficult one as the first week wasn't fun at all, and had concerns that she was perhaps damaged from the severe treatment, but what a bounce back. Even she impressed me. And Gets along very well with Poppie, another Blue fronted we have though she's older.

I'm just really awestruck at how well she is readjusting and leaving the horrible past behind. She's really a very nice natured bird. She doesn't talk much, but trying, Mostly a single word here and there. I don't think she had much socialization, but the first week to 2 weeks she was reserved and very shy, wanted nothing. So we let her be and just observe the other birds. When she realized the others were having a great time with us, she came out of her shell and hasn't looked back since. A truly amazing fighter she is considering the mess she was in before.

Yeah..I know....Can't save them all, I'd love too, but not practical. However saving one or two speaks a million words. And has no price.
