We found a sun conure!!!

Thats very sad. I wonder how old his owner is. I picture a young teenager who let the bird go because of the fear of it dying at the hands of a father :(. I could never imagine being in a situation where I was forced to let my bird go or have it potentially killed by someone. :( I know its not right to let the bird go, but that may have saved his life. That bird is so lucky to have found you.

I'm pretty sick over this too, the e-mail is not valid and yes, he is missing a toe. I am positave that this is their bird and it will not under any circumstances go back to them. my breeder has donated a cage and toys and food. awesome guy, hopefully i can find a good home for the poor baby. I'd like it to be close so I can check up on him from time to time....idk

I have to admit I have the same thought in my mind. That father is scary to harm a bird and threaten to kill it . the poor kids. I am fairly computer illiterate and would have no idea what that meant when she tried to get on the site. Alison and sweetie pie:D

Is he missing a toe? I had an abusive husband and I had gotten a goffin, he was very angry about the bird's screaming. He threatened to kill the bird, and I literally had to protect the bird with my body. I know it sounds melodramatic but its true. I found her a new home immediately because I knew he would kill her. If this little girl had no way to get help then I can understand her letting him go. Its a terrible situation.

yes, its missing a toe. so sad :-( Im sorry you had to go through that.

poor girl - i really can understand what she did

i understand too. I do. I just don't understand the father....I just dont understand people at all. :-(

Sorry I just read your last post That sounds like a very good idea all around. I am sure that the cage is a big help. Maybe it was fate because you have the ability to find him a nice home that the kid did not have. Alison and sweetie pie:D

I'm glad that the bird found someone to help him. Thank you for your kindness.

Those poor children:( She did what she could for the bird. So sad....

I feel so bad for that little girl. She must feel so guilty. At least the bird is safe now.

Cliffordsmom, I just read through every post here (it's clear many others do not as you had to answer many of the same questions multiple times  ) and I just want to say you are doing a great thing by taking care of Guy until he finds a new home. :35:

Thanks for the good comments everyone :-) I will do my best

I just read through the whole post, how sad is that....since your breeder provided another cage, could you try to give him a home at least since he did choose you. Its a very rare story here but it has happened before. Just think it through, he's like a little angel that showed up at your door step.

Im thinking about it especially since I read the e-mail to my boyfriend when he came home and he immediatly started crying and ran to the bedroom. i wondered what he was doing so i followed and he was trying to pic guy up, he wouldnt let him so he just picked up the whole cage and hugged it. ... Hes still crying and talking to him and guy is singing to him. Its cute.

Oh my....that just made me tear up.....tell your bf thanks a lot! You too...shame on you for posting that to make me tear up....lol.....
