Parrots
Mango - Poicephalus Jardine
Hello.
I'm from Beirut, Lebanon. I got my parrot on 19th of May, a Jardine's Parrot, named Timmy. I had an African Grey like 10 years ago, when I was a kid, but he died for unknown reasons (Probably because we trimmed his wings two days before his death) and I wanted to start all over with parrots.
I got Timmy from a pet store, he is a re-homed pet and I totally ignore his age or gender, so I hope some of you might help me figure this out. Maybe in another thread.
In general I'm a writer (and aspiring author) and right now I'm loving how we get to talk about ourselves without feeling arrogant.
I love formal language. English is my third language anyway so expect nice grammatical mistakes.
I'm into video games, I don't know if it sounds childish for some but I really don't care. If I could, I'd work in that domain (probably game designer since it would be merging between video games and writing)
Guess I said enough about myself. I'd actually appreciate if anyone has wonders and sends them though a private message.
Here are the links of my birdy, maybe you'll be the one to answers all the questions.

Very stunning bird Hussein! One of mine is a re-home as well.its interesting to try to piece together the puzzle of their past (what scares them, what they like, etc.).

Hi there Hussein. :) Thanks for the intro. Your Jardine's is truly beautiful!!! Love the last picture, where he's licking your finger. :)

Thank you! Most people think it's an Amazon, while it's African !
I'm thinking about calling the pet store and aaking for the number of the previous owner, but I called him like a lot previously, and he probably didn't save his number since I quickly bought my birdy after being in store for just days.
What do you think about its gender? (Eye colouring, red for males and orange/brown for females)
I'm guessing a male.

I'm not familiar with the breed, but the eyes definately look red...and beautiful. :)

Welcome to the forum!! Congrats on your new bird!

Thank you !
And It's pissing me off the fact that I can't hold him or let him off cage. Any suggestions?
