So, I brought home Ollie yesterday and he is settling in nicely. He doesn't seem upset at all. I put him to bed at 8pm last night and woke hime at 7am. He's eating, preening and stepping up. One thing that worries me is that he is making this noise. He didn't make it at the bird store, so I am hoping it's just him reacting to his new environment. I posted about it in a previous thread but it was hard to describe, so I video taped it. Any thoughts on what this is? You need to make sure your volume is up loud so you can hear his breathing.

I'll be honest, I listened to it numerous times, and yes, I can hear him do the faint huffing sound, but I've never heard that one before. None of mine have ever made that sound.

He looks phenomenal, by the way!!! What a gorgeous Ollie!!!

Thanks! I'm quite fond of him for sure. He doesn't seem sick or anything so it's hard to run off to the vet. Maybe I'll give him a day or two and see if he stops.

It sounds like a sound he's making intentionally. I have a hen nape who mimics my breathing, my wife's hen nape mimics my snoring. We have another who sneezes. Does he do it even when your not close by? maybe he was handfed by someone who had breathing problems.
