What noise does your bird fool you with the most

Vortex does a wicked rendition of a microwave beep, but she does so many at a time I know it's not the microwave, LOL!

As I said, my first Amazon, a yellow nape named Winston was obnoxiously a great sound copier. One time, he started doing the digital telephone ring. I was in the basement working on something. I heard the phone ringing. And ringing, And ringing! Angrily, I yelled up the stairs 'Would you answer the farking phone' to my wife. She shouted back 'It's your faulking PARROT!!'. And he added that sound to his list of timely brought out sounds. Most obnoxious was his imitation of my baby daughters 'Change my diaper' cry, which would get both of us running, only to find her sleeping or playing.

My CAG, Nameliss is directly responsible for me forcing my daughter to get 2 of her male cats neutered. They would fight bouncing around their area. It was several fights a day while my daughter was at work. I finally couldn't stand it. I was worried about collateral damage to the dogs, furniture etc. She got them neutered. The fights increased. I told her one or both had to go. Then one morning, they were fighting again. The problem was neither was home. They were at the vet for shots. I was amazed at how well Nameliss mimicking was. The growling, yowls, crashing bodies onto the furniture, sounds fading away from their room door and back again. I told my daughter about it later. She was upset, more so about the money. The cat fights have altered. Nameliss now adds doggie growls while attacking her cow bell. I have yet to figure out what she'll decide to mimic or when. Nameliss is more into speaking. She also delights in mimicking the local wild avian population. It never occurred to me to think she'd mimic the cats.

All my birds make the same noise! Gabriel and Cricket both mimic Rico! If I’m not paying attention, and it’s just attentive, small noises, they both make me think it’s Rico talking— but then I look over and he’s dead asleep! If you pay attention, you can tell who is who by sound alone, as cricket is a little higher in pitch than Rico, and Gabriel has a higher pitch and a softer voice than cricket.

Rico will also scream like he’s in extreme distress as soon as he finishes the food in his bowl, screaming as LOUD as he can, neurotically climbing around, and screaming like something is so seriously wrong, and then it’s just a freshly emptied food bowl… or there are too many green pellets and he refuses to eat them, and will ALSO act like he’s dying.

Not noises, but still somewhat fits?
cricket will scare me sh**less, by acting like she’s about to lay an egg (she never has, so a first time egg would be REALLY hard on her smaller-than-normal body) but she’s really just hunching a little, due to the bell on her swing. I’ll ask if she’s okay and she’ll sit back up and act like I took a fat dump in her bowl, scowling and lunging at me.

Gabriel literally vanishes in Cricket’s cage, because he isnt neon yellow, so I freak out, while he keeps still and quiet… *sigh* it’s almost like he gets a kick out of watching me panic… he blends in so well, despite not being super colorful in such a colorful cage!!

The canary-wings imitate all the other birds. The one that drives me CRAZY, though, is that from Olive being ill, they learned to imitate sick bird sounds. It's going to give me a heart attack some day.
