I haven't had Taffy for all that long but he will eat carrots and broccoli if I grate them up. I tried putting them in the cage in larger pieces at first but he didn't really seem to eat much of them.
But when I tried finely grating the veggies he really devoured them. I think presentation makes a big difference for some birds. You just have to figure out their eating preferences.
Those Nutriberries seem like a good treat but they make so much waste in my opinion so I bashed all of mine with a hammer and put them into a seed cup. Taffy enjoys them and I don't get such a mess. So be sure to have a hammer as part of your 'bird supplies'.
