As some of you may know,
I recently acquired a male eclectus called Dexter.
I'm in the process of replacing many of the in-cage toys he came with.

As you can see, he's obviously enjoyed chewing this plastic link chain for quite some time! As I was worried about him potentially ingesting small bits of plastic, I removed the chain from the cage.
Was I being overly cautious? Or was I right in thinking it's had its day?

Anyway, It has now been replaced with a new one.
At what stage of use would you recommend replacing these kind of toys in future?

All advice / comments welcome!

We have those same toys!!!!
Yeah, I replace them when they're worn, because I'm concerned about getting then clean when I wash them...

Yes I would have replaced too and he is so worth it! Love him!

I replace plastic when I feel I can't properly sterilize them anymore. I'm
Not really worried about them eating the plastic, it's the germs that worry me.
