I have a 5 or 6 week half moon, and have had her for 2 weeks...I made her like a play station, so after her feeding, I brought her in, and put her in it, and laid on the floor so I would be eye level with her and watch her....laying on my side and my head resting on my arm...after she explored a little bit, she climbed out of it, and walked over to me, and crawled up under my neck, close to my face, and went to sleep....of course I didn't want to move and disturb her, and the floor was uncomfortable as hell....(I'm 70) I did that until my arm I was laying on, fell asleep...I was hoping my husband would come in the room, (door was closed because of our dogs) because it was a" kodak moment" for sure...does anyone elses bird "chirp" in it's sleep. I hope she stays this sweet, I cannot believe what a sweet baby I have gotten.. just wondering if others also nap with their human??? Next time it will be on a bed!!!!:gcc:

Nobody.

This forum is relete with stories of people accidentally crushing and killing their feathered friends who tried to nap with them.

This practice is very much frowned upon.

We would love to see photos of your baby though!

Yeah-- too traumatized by all of the stories of people rolling onto their birds by mistake :( :( or even birds crawling off perches to join napping people (and then getting smashed or smothered) unbeknownst to owners! :( :( :(

I know they are SO sweet, but I wouldn't start that habit just because you wouldn't be able to get over it if an accident happened...at least, I know I wouldn't if it happened to me.

It's not that we don't think it is adorable-- it just is dangerous-- but certainly very sweet that he is so comfortable :)

If you mean that he napped on you but you were awake that’s awesome!!! Good sign that he’s comfortable. If you napped too, I’d not do that as it could lead to injury or death (sadly that’s more common than you think!) My Milo naps on me each morning and night while I was TV ha ha. :)

I would never let them nap with me.

Well said above. Birdies napping on you when you're awake is beautiful! Totally feel the love and trust. It's one of Baxter's favorite things to do. If there's a chance you might fall asleep with her on you, waaaaaaay to risky for her safety. From reading the OP, sounds like there was no intention of human sleeping. I fully understand the hard floor. Not comfortable at all, and in this case, only lasted until sleeping appendages put an end to it.
