Mango and Munchlax (Peach Faced Lovebirds)
i was watching munch preening her wings, and i noticed she started twisting one of her flights around and actually wriggled it out of her wing.
she seems like she is molting, as all my other birds are molting right now, and she's got some loose feathers flying around her cage lol but she also has a history of plucking and mutilating. nothing too major. the mutilation was a one time thing where she chewed the skin off her leg, and the plucking was done when she was sitting on eggs.
what do you think? just coincidental that she pulled out a loose feather, or do you think she plucked it? she wriggled it out and pulled it, i watched her. but it was a steady movement, not a yank, no pain nothing, just a steady slow tug and twist and it was out and she was playing with it in her beak.
