Yanni molted a few small feathers today and I just installed a multiroom console humidifier so that should help.

He is quite the chatterbox. He had his own vocabularly plus he started picking up things from me. His voice sounds rather robotic/synthesized compared to the way my female Vos spoke. I have heard other parrots sound like this. Is it an individual thing? My Vos sounded just like me...it was almost scary! My Amazon also speaks very clearly. It doesn't matter...it is kind of cute. I was just wondering. It may be my imagination but the things he learned from me sound a little clearer. Could it be my voice? I have a deaf friend who told me she finds it very easy to read my lips.

How old is he? A friend of mine has an eckie who sounds just like her, but he used to sound more robotic. My Tucson has some things he sounds like a robot with "Beep beep" isone of them, but when he says things like "Hi bird" he sounds just like his old owner.

Yeah, I think it depends on the bird. Jolly sounds robotic a lot of the time, but Maya sounds very much like my wife. I think some are just more detail oriented than others, looking to get the word AND the tone.

How old is he? .

We think he is about 10 years old. I don't know a lot about his history. My female Vos I had since she was weaned. On the way home at 15 weeks old she was saying Hello. The breeder spoke to her from the day she hatched. Maybe an early start makes a difference.

I am very pleased with how easily Yanni has adjusted. It has only been 8 days.
