Subject: Seeking a New Home for My Beloved Pineapple Conures
Hi everyone,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart because I need to find a new home for my two special pineapple conures, Eevee (1 year and 9 months) and Rosie (9 months). This difficult decision comes after my husband's nephrology team advised us to remove our birds from our home since he is a kidney transplant recipient. Unfortunately, we feel forced to make this choice.
Eevee is affectionate, intelligent, and curious. She shares a special bond with my husband and often sees us as her parents, which makes rehoming her incredibly painful.
Rosie has a gentle and sweet personality. She is affectionate and enjoys human interaction, but her primary bond is with Eevee, whom she looks to for comfort and guidance.
Eevee and Rosie spend very little time in their cage and love daily baths, music, and being part of a family. They are accustomed to a calm, stable environment filled with loving interactions. Their diet consists of high-quality pellets, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and occasional treats.
I am seeking an experienced parrot owner who understands the complexities of conures and is aware of the potential challenges this transition may cause them. Please note that I can only accept adopters who are home most of the day and can provide the same level of love, attention, and enrichment that they are used to. They are not suitable for a home with young children.
Writing this has been very difficult for me, and I cried throughout the process. I know there are many rehoming posts out there, but I felt compelled to try, hoping that the right person for Eevee and Rosie will see this and reach out.
Thank you for taking the time to read about them.
Rehoming fee: To be discussed with serious inquiries. This is to ensure they go to a committed home
