That is so awesome. Makes my play stand look kind of bare. Guess I need to shopping for birdie toys...AGAIN.

Where is "Coastal?"

Coastal is a farm and feed supply store just a couple miles from me. You could try a google search and see if they have any near you. Or Wilco is another good one.

There are only 2 store bought toys on that, I made all the others with toy parts I found at my local bird store and a few other places around town.

That looks fantastic!!! I have 2 of the same toys you have on there...Justice LOVES the one in the left in the first pic, and the coloured balls at the top is a favorite with every single bird we have, even the lovies and parrotlets
The ones you made are fabulous, and I wish I was that talented at toy making.
Looks like Zilla and my guys have the same taste! She looks so happy on there, what a wonderfully spoiled girl she is

She loves loves loves those vine balls! I can't ever buy enough of them. If every toy I gave her had those she would be a super happy birdie!

Hahaha those rattan/vine balls are a huge hit in my house too- they even have teeny tiny ones I get for my budgies (even though they'll destroy anything fibrous regardless of size lol!)

Not sure about being an inspiration, but thanks for the kind words Scott!

I'm just trying to do my best to be the best Mommy I can be! Maybe I can make up for some of what she has gone through and give her some much deserved spoiling for the rest of her life.

She is doing her best to spoil me too! I get tons and tons of love all day everyday from her... She is the sweetest zon I have ever known!

I never knew a zon could be so loving! You know all the "psycho zon" stories you hear over the years about how horrible and nasty they are? Zilla is NONE of these! Everything I have had to put her through, knowing how horrible she must have felt being so sick, being brought to an unfamiliar house and given to a person she had never met and she has NEVER even once hurt me!

She is the BESTEST little green feather ball of love EVER!

Amazons are IMO probably one of the most loving species out there IF you love and respect them back. They got a bad reputation from inexperienced owners unwilling to learn about their birds natural behaviors and even more unwilling to do anything about it (besides abuse/neglect/get rid of them).

Zilla certainly sounds like a real sweetheart and knew you saved her. You've made a friend for life
