Socializing Progress!!!

My husband is afraid of beaks. I think it's due to lack of knowledge and experience with birds. Two days ago I had Buddy on my shoulder and sat on the couch next to my husband. All four dogs got as close to me as possible, Buddy, not bothered. I told my husband we have to work with him and Buddy so he's comfortable. My husband looked at me like I had lost my mind, but he did reach out and after my pestering, touched Buddy and he got to scratch his head and have a positive moment with him. We have a win! That's one down, many more to go but I'm glad to see the progress even if it's a tiny step.

Awwww Buddy looks like such a big sweetheart, how could anyone be afraid of him

Glad the hubby made the first step towards building a relationship with buddy and hope it just gets better from here!

I know, right??? This morning my husband woke me telling me Buddy was bleeding. I jump up and go to his cage. His beak is all red and purple. My panic subsides. "Babe, Buddy had black berries last night and red pepper at lunch, it's blackberry juice and red pepper stuck to the pig's face." My husband calms down. Me "oh you were worried about Buddy, you love him." Husband "no I don't, don't know what you are talking about." He walks off, I'm laughing. Later I caught him with Buddy's cage open giving Buddy a piece of popcorn. I cracked up!!!! So funny watching macho man be super macho!
