Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

Gosh they are all so pretty....I have to remind myself that my flock does not need to grow any more (I have one tiel and have always wanted a second, and all your pics are making me think about it again lol).

Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

Well Jen, I have a t-shirt that you should get. It has two cool tiel photos on the front and says.....Cockatiels are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

fourteen tiels...and I can barely put up with one! My little guy hasn't S.T.H.U today..he's been going at it since 8am.Usually he is fairly quiet until late afternoon. Even Amy is extra vocal today...must be something in the air

Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

FIRST of all I don't want anyone taking this as a complaint rather just very curious. It never ceases to amaze me when I look at this thread since I started it and note the number of views. What's frustrating is few (if any response.) If it were not for folks like noodles and a few moderators, there'd be no response at all! Are you guys REALLY that shy or just don't have anything to say? Heck, if nothing else, post about YOUR bird(s.) I can report that we are done to 13 tiels now. We sold one of the younger females from the last clutch yesterday. Even though we were in the early stages of teaching her to step up, this girl was tickled to death with this little pied female.

I love the pics and hearing about your flock, I enjoy keeping up with them. I talk too much all day, and have generally used up all my words by the time I get online . Love the shirt!

Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

Well THANK you Jen. I appreciate your response. I guess the NEWS of today is the fact that our two youngest males: Peanut and Tiki are BOTH wolf whistling now!!! Of coarse it could be there both missing the little female we sold Sunday that was there cage mate.

Re: Texas Tiels Thread.

THIS could be the reason Tiki has started wolf whistling.....seems he's taken a shine to Matilda! Only one little problem....she's his sister!!!

Yes...Tiki is kinda the odd man out. He looks nothing like his other three clutch mates. Actually I wish SOMEONE with a lot more experience with different mutations could tell me how he (Tiki ) came to be. Kiwi, the dad was a pearl when he was young but now looks like a regular normal grey! Woody, the mother is a simple pied with dark grey and yellow feathers. As many of you have probably noticed, Peanut looks like a miniature version of his mother Woody!
